DEXTER KIM Obituary

Dexter Hark Sung Kim was born on April 8, 1951, in Honolulu, HI, to Robert and Florence Kim. He passed away on February 21, 2016, at the age of 64. Dexter lived in Hawaii until the age of ten, when his family moved to Reedley, CA. There he grew up and graduated from Reedley High School in 1969. His friendship with his life long friends from these school years, has lasted for over 55 years, Ronnie, Gary, Michael, Kenny, Rick and Mitchell. Dexter loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, playing cards with his buddies, and traveling with Linda to new places. Dexter also dearly loved his dogs, Snoopy and Lucy. Dexter worked for California Industrial Rubber in Fresno and Visalia, CA, for 37 years. He was married to Collette Muira from 1986 for six years. His current marriage to Linda Murphy was the happiest time of his life. They were inseparable. Linda was the love of his life. Dexter was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kim; and his brother-in-law, Steve Hanada. Dexter is survived by his wife Linda; his mother, Florence Kim; sisters, Bobbi Hanada, Darlene Kim, and Cynthia Kim; brother-in-law, Mark Lombardini; nieces, Lacey Hewson and her husband Dino, and Ariana Figueroa; and nephews, Grant Hanada, and Ryan Lombardini. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family wishes to thank Dr. Jamie De La Cerna, his family doctor, for all his support. We also wish to thank the special services of Pro-Hospice for their care and support. A private Celebration of Life will be held.
