Don Krider Obituary

Don, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great friend to all who loved him, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at the age of 75. Don was born in Dinuba, California on October 18, 1931. He grew up in Sanger and graduated from Sanger High School in 1950. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Lillian in 1953. Don and Lillian have been long time residents of Selma. Don's life was devoted to evangelizing lost souls, supporting pastors and their churches, and teaching others how to share and live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was a spiritual father to many. He has been the Founder and Director of World Wide Ministries since 1978. World Wide Ministries was founded upon the scripture Luke 22:32 where Jesus said to Peter, I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Many churches, international missions, and home missions' ministries were launched from this ministry. Don Krider was the kind of man that could find some good in everyone, his words were always encouraging, and he had a smile for all he met. His message was The Kingdom of God is at hand! His exhortation to young ministers was the same as the apostle Paul gave to his spiritual son, Timothy, in 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Don practiced what he preached; he ran with patience the race that was set before him, always looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of his faith; and now, he has received his eternal reward. His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. Matthew 25:20 Don is survived by his wife Lillian; his three daughters, Diana Sewell and her husband Curtis, Donna Lanier and her husband Doug, and Denise Rasberry; his son, Don Krider and his wife Marty; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. A Celebration of his life will be held at Bethel Christian Center, located at 4665 N. First St. in Fresno, on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the Don Krider Memorial Fund. Donations should be payable to World Wide Ministries, P.O. Since 1968 God has allowed our family to share the love and fellowship of our beloved brother in the Lord.We will truly miss Brother Don, also remembered as Grandpa Krider, to my younger children, Rodney and Scott. When Rodney was small, Bro. Don would carry him as he preached the word of God to us. My wife Roberta went on ahead to be with Jesus, on Oct 16 2004. Now Bro Don has also gone on to meat our Lord and savior. Our goal as a family is to one day join them as the Lord has promised we would do. Many precious memories are ours to have and to hold as we continue in this life of service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I Believe the Lord has put a burden in my heart to reach out to those that have left their first love and strayed from the protecion and fellowship of the Lords' church. We all need to be ready for the appearing of the Son of man in the clouds of glory, and to be caught up to be forever with Him in the air. Our love and prayers will be with you always in this difficult time of seperation from one we all loved in this life. To be absent in this body is to be ever present with our Lord. We look to the day we will all again be together with our Savior forevermore. May the Lords love keep you secure 'till that great day. Love always in Christ Jesus, your brother David Bouton and children, Les, Donna, Wade, Rodney and Scott.
