In May, I attended a webinar hosted by the VA in honor of AANHPI Heritage Month. I thought of Don the whole time. The presenter focused on Nisei vets who served during WWII. I know Don would have loved it.

I was stationed with Don at NAS Alameda in the '80s and am honored to have served with him. He was a smart and thoughtful leader who became a friend, due in large part to his capacity to care for others. He will be missed. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Our best memories from France. We had the honor and pleasure to meet Donald in 2009 during the tour in the Bruyères area, Vosges, France. We then have worked with him for many years.
He will stay in our memories forever.
Our condolences to the family.
