Dora Loquaci Obituary
June 21, 1925 - September 16, 2025
Madera, California - Dora Betty (Karahadian) Loquaci, 100, a lifelong resident of Madera, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Dora's family names are synonymous with Madera County Agricultural history. She was the daughter of the late Richard Karahadian and Rebecca Arakelian Karahadian. Dora attended Madera Schools and graduated from Madera Union High School with the Class of 1943 and later attended UC Berkeley. Following World War II, Dora married Robert "Bob" Loquaci, her teenage sweetheart upon his return from the U.S. Navy. They were married for 70 years before his passing in 2015. Dora enjoyed a close knit group of friends, playing bridge and golf at the Madera Golf and Country Club.
Dora is survived by her sons: David Loquaci and his wife Joan, Leslie Loquaci and his wife Laddyne, all of Madera and by her sister Janet Refvem of Portola Valley, CA. She is the grandmother of K.C. Cornwell and her husband Brian, Richard Loquaci and his wife Trisha and Robbie Loquaci and his wife Charlene, She is the great grandmother of Rebecca Loquaci, Samara Pomering, Carson Loquaci, Brody Loquaci and Madison Loquaci.
Private Family services will be held with Entombment in the Arbor Vitae Cemetery Mausoleum in Madera.
Remembrances in Dora's memory may be made to Valley Children's Hospital, 9300 Valley Children's Boulevard, Madera, CA. 93636 or to the Madera County Ag Boosters, 3055 Fairmont Court, Madera, CA. 93637.

I was fortunate to have known Dora and her husband Bob since 1974. She was a wonderful women who always met everyone with a kind smile. My life was blessed having known her and her family. Her family is filled with "doers" who made and continue to make a positive difference in people´s lives and in Madera. May God bless and keep her close.
