EDNA VEEH Obituary

Psalm 37:5 "commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." Edna was born on June 28, 1929, in Monroe, SD, and died on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the age of 81 in Reedley, Ca. The youngest of nine children, she was adored by her older brothers and sisters. Edna moved to Orange County in southern California as a young child. Here she met Norman, the love of her life, as a freshman at Tustin Union High School. After marriage, they resided in Southern California until they moved to Orosi, Ca., to continue in citrus farming. Edna was actively involved in Sequoia Presbyterian Church from its beginning. She was a woman of strong faith and a true 'prayer warrior'. Her love of life also revolved around spending time with family, especially grandchildren. Edna was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a faithful servant of the Lord. She was preceded in death by Norman Veeh, her one and true love, whom she now joins in life eternal. Surviving her are three children, Donna Henry and her husband David, Dennis Veeh and his wife Susie, and Randy Veeh and his wife Karen; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; and one brother-in-law. A Viewing will be held at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, 189 South J St. in Dinuba, on Thursday, March 17, 2011, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Please join the family in a Celebration of Her Life at Sequoia Presbyterian Church, 12883 Avenue 419, Orosi, Ca. 93647, on Friday, March 18, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. Donations in her honor may be made to Sequoia Presbyterian Church; or The Alzheimer's Foundation of Central California, PO Box 3438, Pinedale, Ca. 93650. Dear Dennis:
Every week or two for the last several months i walked by your mother's room at Palm Village. I was there again Saturday. Now, at last, she is experiencing "fullness of joy" in the presence of her Lord. May God comfort you with his assurances that you shall see her again.

Dennis, Randy and family,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I had the pleasure of getting to know her while you both attended COS and played football for the Giants. She did not miss a game and was a lovely lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time and may you treasure the memories of your mother.
