Edward Franz Obituary

EDWARD JAMES FRANZ Edward James Franz passed away on March 31, 2003, in Fresno, CA. He was born on August 16, 1921, in Wausau, WI. He came to Fresno in 1928. He was in the Coast Guard in WWII from 1942 to 1945. He was an Electrical Contractor/IBEW member from 1946 to 1990 when he retired. He was a member of the Shrine of St. Therese and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Churches. Edward received the Catholic Churches Benemerenti Medal for his outstanding church service. Edward is survived by his beloved wife Bea of 60 years. The hobbies he enjoyed were flying, traveling, golfing, woodworking and was an avid reader. He leaves behind his children Eddie and Patti Franz, Bev Pratt-Findley and Burl Findley, Ceci and Ken Muhareb, Billy Franz, Jimmy & Jackie Franz, Jeannie and Kenny Bridges, Mary and Jim Gist; grandchildren Eric, Brian, Shelly, Brett, Jeremy, Jeannette, Kristin, Michael, Christian, Craig, Matthew, Danielle, Brandon, Brittany, Nicole and Gianna; great-grandchildren Evan and Bryanna. A private Memorial Mass will be held. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice of St. Agnes Hospital, PO Box 27350, Fresno, CA 93729. With warm thanks to Cathy, Cindy, Angela, Danielle, Hortencia, Chaplain Tim, Bob R, Bev N., Holly and Wilma, Mary O. and Sherry.
