ELBERT JOVANTE WOODS

Elbert was born on January 11, 1994, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at the age of 16 years. Elbert was a high school junior, and a straight 'A' student. He was a very loving ,and giving person, who was a phenomenal athlete and an organ donor. Elbert is survived by his parents, Chandra Baldwin-Woods of Oakland, Ca. and Elbert Lee "Ickey" Woods of Cincinnati, Oh.; brothers and sisters, Jermaine Woods, Amber Woods, Jazzmine Woods, Allegria Woods and Aubrhee Woods; his grandparents, Sylvia Taylor and Irene Baldwin both of Fresno, Ca.; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and devoted friends who will miss him Visitation will be held at Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. Funeral Chapel in Fresno on Friday, August 20, 2010, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Westside Church of God on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. He will be returned to Cincinnati for a funeral and burial on Saturday, August 28, 2010.
