ELIZABETH BLACKBURN Obituary
72, went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2018. She was born on July 22, 1945 the daughter of the late Robert and Palma Alm. Beth graduated from Aultman Hospital School of Nursing and was employed for 16 years with Aultman Hospital. She then was employed for 16 years at Alliance Hospital. She enjoyed her time at both hospitals and touched many lives. She was a woman of great faith and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She continued her Christian Ministries with the EMMAUS Walk and Kairos Prison Ministry. Beth enjoyed camping and gardening. She was an animal lover and will be missed by her four-legged companions. She had many achievements but her greatest was her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and beloved daughter Sheryl King. Beth is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Kenneth Blackburn; son, Richard (Sara) Blackburn; son-in-law, Rick King; grandchildren Adam (Liz) King, Audrey (Jessie Rooma) King and Isabelle Blackburn; great-granddaughter, Lucy King; brothers Robert Alm, John (JoAnn) Alm and Thomas (Pam) Alm; sisters, Sharon (William) Wolff, Susan (Mark) Keckler and Dianne (Patrick McCoy) Alm; Aunt Donna Jean William; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home (NORTH CANTON CHAPEL).
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church (7707 N. Market Ave, North Canton 44721) with Pastor Kip Smith officiating.
Interment will take place at Warstler Cemetery.
