Harold Farris Obituary

Harold Wayne Farris
January 13, 1949 - June 1, 2023
Fresno, California - The Family is saddened to announce the passing of Harold Wayne Farris. He led a deeply fulfilling life and made significant contributions to his community as a chiropractor. Harold's dedication to his loved ones, his profession, compassion for people, passion for golf, and many light-hearted pranks made him a beloved figure among his friends and family. Harold was born on January 13, 1949, to Herschel and Virgie Farris. He grew up in Caruthers and graduated from Caruthers High in 1967. Harold attended the Cleveland School of Chiropractic and earned his professional degree in 1971. Soon after, he opened his chiropractic practice in Fresno, where he provided care until his illness in 2022. Throughout his career, Harold traveled the country giving lectures on diagnostics and various treatments related to chiropractic care. His expertise and dedication earned him a reputation as one of the top chiropractors in Fresno.
Outside of his professional career, Harold enjoyed scuba diving, dancing, and spending time at Pismo Beach and Shaver Lake, alongside his wife Judy and their dogs. However, his true passion was golf, and he cherished the time he spent playing the sport with his friends and enjoying the camaraderie of the 19th Hole.
Harold had a mischievous sense of humor and was known as the ultimate prankster. He delighted in playing jokes on his family and friends, often including them in his well-crafted pranks. His proudest moments were the birth of his daughters and the 31 years of marriage he shared with Judy.
Harold is survived by his mother, Virgie Davis Farris, his wife Judy Wathen-Farris, his brother Gerald Farris and his wife Jean, his sister Shelley Farris-Lee and her husband Dennis, his daughters Amanda and Abbie Farris, his grandchildren Chasen, Jaiden, Sophia, Olivia, and Alena, stepson Frank Cotton and his wife Carrie, and stepdaughter Tammy Yarak.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Copper River Country Club on July 6, 2023, from 11am to 2pm.
