He is survived by his wife Anita of 58 years

Hank was a devoted Husband, Son, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and tremendous friend. As a young man he was selected to be a Rescue Diver for the United States Coast Guard, aboard the USCGC STORIS in Kodiak Alaska's "Bering Sea and Arctic Search and Rescue" from 1960-1964. His adventures were many and often heroic. Returning home he met and married his wife Anita who he loved and cherished for 58 years. He was loved as "the best friend you could ever have". He could often be found ringing a doorbell with arms full of fresh fruit or vegetables from his garden, a meal, his cured olives or thoughtful gift usually handmade for a friend or family member in need.

He lived as he prayed, loving his Catholic faith, and trusting in our God and his Holy Mother until his last breath. His devotion in praying the Holy Rosary filled his days and nights. Not only did he pray the rosary, but hand made beautiful Rosaries, sewed altar linens, vestments for the Traditional Latin Mass, and repaired religious paintings and statues.

Words cannot convey the loss to those he leaves behind. He made every life around him better with his great humor and sincere love. His example of life well lived could be described in a word, selfless. The loss of Henry, to those lives he has touched, leaves a void that can't be filled, only memories cherished, and hopefully never forgotten.

He was the eldest of four siblings, Margaret, Edward, and David.

Survived by his loving wife Anita, son and daughter in law David and Maryhelen Salsedo, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, Aaron and wife Tori Salsedo, Matthew and wife Hailey Salsedo, Samson Salsedo, Elias Salsedo, Theresa Jenkins and several God Children. Preceded by his Father Henry Verdugo Salsedo and Mother Ciprianna "Irene" Salsedo.

Could his life advice be echoed it would be, pray your Rosary every day, do everything you can for all whom you're entrusted in a living example of God's love, first for us on the Cross and God will take care of the rest.

Thank you Hank for your countless gifts and acts of love. We love you and miss you and hope to be with you again where there will be no more tears.
