ISABEL VASQUEZ Obituary

Isabel Vasquez was born on December 9, 1939, and passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, in Fresno, CA, surrounded by her loving family. Isabel attended schools in west Fresno and graduated from Edison High School. Isabel worked at Ted's Bargain Basement on the old Fulton Mall, Rodders at Manchester Center, and the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years. Isabel enjoyed spending time with her best friend and sister, Amparo Vasquez watching movies, eating pizza, and talking about old times on "C" Street in west Fresno where the family grew up on. Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, George and Concha Vasquez; her sisters, Amparo Vasquez, Cora Marez, Helen Lopez, Connie Madrigal, Sally Del Toro; and her brother Robert Vasquez. Isabel is survived by her sisters, Mary Islas, Blanch Valdovinos, and Esther Quinonez; her brothers, Ralph Vasquez and his wife Lupe, Richard Vasquez, and Chuck Vasquez; and many nephews and nieces. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Zuzuaregui; Horizon Health; Community Regional Medical Centers Intensive Care Unit and Comfort Care Units; her niece, Nancy Kevorkian; and her sister, Mary Islas, for the great care and compassion they provided Isabel at the end of her journey. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church; or Community Regional Medical Centers ICU and Comfort Care Units.
