My sincerest condolences go to Ruth for the loss of her husband of 72 years and to their children for the loss of their father. Jim and Ruth met my parents, David and Margaret Clark, at the first Presbyterian Church in Fresno in the 1950s when both couples were new to Fresno and beginning their lives and careers. I have many fond memories of the times our families spent together as the Wagner children and my sister Sally and I grew up together. Jim and Ruth were always the most gracious hosts. One story that immediately comes to mind is the Wagners babysitting our family cat while my family temporarily relocated to Rhode Island in 1967-68 for my father's work. Another is of Jim letting me drive a Ferrari sports car (365GTB?) that Jim was keeping an eye on for a friend and that he and Ruth drove to my parents' house for dinner party. Thankfully, under Jim's tutelage the car was returned to its owner no worse for the wear for that small adventure (only a few blocks) and the thrills and memories that it gave to me. It has been many years, but I often think warmly of our times together. Best regards to you all, Stephen Clark.

I still vividly remember Jim hugging and kissing all of his sons after Bryan & Jill's engagement party, saying what good boys they were. Such a sweet and wonderful man, who breathed kindness and goodness into his children and grandchildren. You will be missed by all who knew you.
