Janice Bourdase Obituary

JANICE BOURDASE "Janey" Janey was born on February 25, 1942, and passed away on August 21, 2004. Janey died with multiple family members by her side and in her support. Janey lived the last 29 years of her life in San Jose, CA with her adoring husband, Ed. Together they started a small business, which Ed still runs to this day. Janey worked in accounting and loved her job and her many friends at San Jose Medical Center. Janey loved nature, animals, and celebrating holidays with family. She loved country music and playing bingo. In May of 2004, she experienced her one wish in life and visited Alaska. Janey was generous, kind, caring and always gave all she could to take care of others. She was the glue that held our family together and will be greatly missed. Janey was preceded in death by her step-father Albert; her mother Eris; her brother Richard; and her sister Linda. She is survived by her self-described "best friend", her husband Ed; her children Vance, Valerie and Shalon; her grandchildren Amanda, Kacee, and Nathan; her sister Sandra; and her brother Dale. Janey is also survived by her three step-children, Mark, Jodi and Martin, as well as nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Janey's family was her pride and joy, and she was ours as well. She will be missed more than these words could ever convey. Visitation will be held at Farewell on Thursday, August 26, 2004, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will be at Clovis Cemetery on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. FAREWELL660 W. I worked with Janey at Almaden Vineyards back in the day. Her out going personality and sense of humor I greatly miss. I will forever treasure the time I had to spend with her and the jokes and bad time she use to always give me with a smile. To the family she left behind, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. God Bless You Always. Nita A.
