One of the phrases I will most remember from Bro. Fleming is, "Our disappointments are God's appointments!" Bro. Fleming was a great teacher, a grounded man of faith in God, and glorious testimony of a true Christian. He is missed by all of the students here at Cal Christian, but he will forever be a prat of this campus. To his family, I want you to know that you are still in our prayers. May God continue to expand His canopy of love and comfort around you.

I will miss Jerry's comforting voice and calming handshake most of all. He was such a wonderful man of God. I pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort all those close to him and grieving. I feel so blessed to have been taught by him, and to have known him. He was always there for me and my family, and his prayers have meant so much to me. I hope to be more like him, and to know God as he did.
Jerry,
I know that I know that I know I will see you again. Thank you for that.

I came to know Jerry a few years back when he helped Fresno City College students who wanted to study in England with fundraising. Jerry selflessly worked to enlist support from local businesses and then printed calendars so students could sell and raise money in order to go to England. There was nothing in it for him; he just wanted to help students. He was a wonderful, thoughtful man. God bless you, Jerry. My deepest sympathies to his family on the passing of a very dear man.

I just heard the sad news today. Mr. Fleming... was awesome, period. Growing up and playing baseball at Bullard I remember first getting involved with FCA and Mr. Fleming was the cornerstone of that. My deepest condolences to the family. Mr. Fleming was simply one of my favorite people growing up and I will always remember what a great man he was. Blessings to all of you.

I remember meeting Bro. Jerry way back in the 1970s at Ashlan Park. He was a wonderful Pastor. We called on him many times through the years and he always answered the call! He left us way too early, but God must have needed him in Heaven!

Jerry was a sincere "Gentleman" ~one blessed by the Lord.
I will always remember his kind and generous smile and a heartfelt "Hello"! when he came to visit our office. At times, he would bring one of his Grandchildren, Brittany, with him, and it was simply endearing to see the joyful love and respect that they shared.
Jerry ALWAYS had a smile for everyone, and a kind word to say.
May our Lord Jesus wrap his arms around his family in this time of grief, and comfort their hearts with the thoughts of Jerry basking in the Love of our Lord.

I was a new Christian 26-years ago when I met and was ministered to by Jerry Fleming. He kept my focus straight and helped me understand what a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ was all about. Jerry's sermon's were inspiring perhaps mostly because they came from deep within his heart. Jerry, you will be tremendously missed.

Mr. Fleming had just become my Psychology Teacher at FCC. I very much enjoyed his wry sense of humor and baseball talks. I will miss him and although we have to continue the semester without him, I'm sure he knows that he touched my life with his presence and winning attitude. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Jerry, thank you for your lessons and I hope our Psych 2 class will make you proud!

Uncle Jerry was my favorite, our mutual love for Christ was our bond. God could not have chosen a finer man to do His work, Jerry did it gently, kindly, and with great love. Jerry overcame many adversities in life, "I have fought the good fight, I have finshed the race, I have kept the faith" 2 Tim. 4:7. Well done my favorite Uncle, receive your reward! I will miss you greatly!!

Thank you Jerry for being such a good friend to this family.
I fell away from the church in the years past and for that I am sorry. knowing you were there was always such a great comfort to me. God gave you such great wisdom, and the means to share it with so many. All that knew you were touched by this, and all who knew you loved you. Until we meet again. Phil Mattox

Please know that your loved one was a blessing in my life. Throughout the years as he ministered to Walt & Ellen in the loss of their loved ones, he also quietly ministered to those of us on the sidelines. His testimony was true and faithful and it's a joy to know that he is in the presence of the Saviour he loved so much. May God bless your family and heal your saddened hearts.
