I met Joan in an FCC acting class back in the fall of 1972. She stood out as the most attractive, interesting, and friendly student in the class. I cherish the memories of times talking in the coffee shop and always admired her creativity, particulary an animated film she made in film class called "Making Babies." When she moved from Fresno I was glad when she was back visiting family and stopping into the Wild Blue Yonder. When she returned to Fresno to settle years later I was glad to see her at brother Steve's open mike night near Fashion Fair, and when I took up painting she was a big supporter. I always enjoyed a chance to talk, her being such a good listener and witty responder. Glad to have known her and sad she is gone.
