Our family was blessed by their hospitality- seems to run in the Heany family blood-- during the birthday party which we flew down for. I was especially thankful and blessed by the in person tour of the cotton baling plant. I'm an agricultural guy and had never before see or felt cotton before. What an experience! We still have our "sample cotton bale" in our house.
Jean is always telling us stories about her california side of the family and Uncle Joe. Our visits to our Dos Palos area relatives will always be special!

Aunt Emily, Larry, Pat, Darrell, and Valerie: You all have been on my mind and in my heart since I heard the news of Uncle Joe. I so wish I could be there with all of you during this time. Uncle Joe was one of my most favorite people in the whole world and I so enjoyed spending time with him - the tour he took all of us on when we were there last time lives forever in my memories and I'm thankful I have lots of great memories and pictures of that time to cherish. We lost an awesome man, didn't we? He lived his life always thinking about and doing for others. I will miss him terribly. I send my love and my prayers to all of you, as I know what you are going through. Uncle Joe will always be alive in my heart, through all the wonderful memories and endless pictures of our times together. Right now I grieve along with you, and if I can make it down this summer to see you, hopefully we can relieve some of that grief with heart-warming conversation & laughter about the way Uncle Joe lived his life. May God bless you and keep you close during this sad time....I love you all so much!

Joe Vincent meant so much to so many and I thank God for having been blessed enough to have known him, and doubly blessed to have been related to him. I mourn his passing and will miss his presence during any trip to Dos Palos, but I take comfort in knowing that one day I'll see him - and all our friends and family who've fallen asleep in death - "on the other side". My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Vincent "clan" and an extra heartfelt condolence to Aunt Emily. Miss and love you all, and God Bless. - 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

The family of Joe have lost a bright light here on earth,but have gained a shining star in the heavens. It was my pleasure to have known and had him as a friend in days gone by. Cecil

Dear Emily and family, I was saddened to hear of your loss. Whenever I think of my childhood in Dos Palos, I think of Joe and it always makes me smile. He always had a smile and kind, encouraging word for all of us children (not to mention those dollar bills)! My parents (Cecil and Leetha) always though highly of Joe and considered him a genuine friend. I'd like to think that the stars will shine just a bit brighter now that Joe is up there. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

"Uncle Joe" will be missed with all of my heart. I still remember how he bribed me (Robert), and my brothers and sisters with a fresh 5 dollar bill. This was to ensure that we always remembered who he was, and we did. I remember coming down for the reunion and getting pictures taken with all the Vincent’s (Visente) just a couple years ago. Uncle Joe was just as cheerful and lively as he was when I was a child. Uncle Joe took me and my family (Heany) on a tour of the cotton farms and the plant. We even got a nicely wrapped bale of cotton that we still have. A bright light has gone out in the world, one that we cannot replace, but one that will be remembered in my heart for the rest of my life. My Grandma (Maxine Heany) will be overjoyed at having Uncle Joe back and I know that God is now watching over him. Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences to you Emily and to the rest of the family as well. Uncle Joe touched my life and will not be a part that will ever be forgotten. I love you all and am sorry to say that I cannot attend. Please know that I will be there in spirit and support! God Bless.

What a sweet, sweet man! Even inbetween having children or grandchildren playing Little League...you would find him at the games. When my sons were playing, he would watch the kids playing around the outside and in the bleachers and he would hand them a dollar bill and tell them to go to the snack bar! The soft smile on his face showed the joy he gathered from seeing them skip off to the snack bar. Many of those kids, mine included, probably wouldn't have gotten a trip to the snack bar without him. Such a small gesture that made a big impact. Thank you Joe! You will be missed. My condolences to Emily, Pat, Larry, Darrell and Valerie.

Dear Emily, Larry, Pat, Darrell & Valerie;
With deepest sorrow we say good by to the man who always had a smile on his face. Joe was a big help when we lost are grandfather (Gene Schuyler) in 1971. He would come by to check on use KIDS and give us advice. I loved seeing you and him at all the D.P & L.B. football games even if I had to hear how bad L.B. would lose. Sandy was so sad to hear about Joe being sick and prayed for him.
My deepest
