Josie was a French major at Fresno State in 1976 when she was accepted to study abroad in Aix-en Provence, France at IAU University. She loved Europe and lived in France and Monte Carlo for the next.

25 years. She worked for Cunard Shipping for many years. She lived and worked in Italy for 3 more years. On return, she spent 2 years in New York and then moved to the San Francisco area for the remainder of her years. Josie was fluent in French, Italian & Spanish with some conversational German. She enjoyed working as a legal secretary for various law firms, in Fresno, Europe, and the greater Bay Area. Given her intense interest in natural medicine, she researched and published papers on alternative healthcare topics. She enjoyed helping others as an au pair, a life coach, and a marketer. Josie loved to laugh, dance, and be crazy with her family, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends of which she had many from all over the world.

Josie died of abdominal cancer on 4 April 2024 in Petaluma, CA. A memorial was held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Petaluma to celebrate her unique and joyful spirit. A family celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 15 at 1 p.m. in Sanger, CA. Call/text 559-696-2332 for location, condolences, etc.

Josie is survived by brother, Joseph Cilluffo, Clovis, CA, & his children Ty, Frank & Desiree Pruett. Sisters: Rosa M Huerta of Sanger, CA, & her children Fred, Michael (Deceased), & Estaban; Angela Cilluffo of Pleasant Garden, NC & her son Nicolai & Victoria Cilluffo of Fresno, CA. Josie never married & had no children. She is loved and will be missed by her family and friends. We know she's still dancing & laughing.
