Lanny R. Perkins, age 70, husband of Mattie Clingan Perkins, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2016, at his home in Sanger, CA, with his family and wife of 52 years by his side
Born on April 18, 1946, in Santa Paula, CA, he was the son of the late Elton and Florene Perkins, and is survived by his brothers, Neil and Jerry.
Lanny attended Lindsay High School and married his high school sweetheart, Mattie, on August 26, 1964. He last worked for Karriers Trucking as a Broker and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming his ten acres, and most of all spending time with his grandkids and great-grandchildren. Lanny and Mattie have three children, Butch, Mark and Kathryn; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the ranch, 6391 E. Copper Ave., Clovis, CA 93619, on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 11:00 a.m.

Lanny and I were schoolmates and friends, from first grade through high school. He had a great laugh, always friendly, and was a terrific football player. I'm saddened to hear of his passing, though I'm sure he brightened a lot of days for others along the way.

Lanny was the best uncle,he gave me my first baseball glove.When uncle Lanny and aunt Mattie lived in Horn Lake,Miss. He took me with him to Elpaso,tx.I always liked being around him,he was a lot of fun to be with,I love him and aunt Mattie so much, Butch,Mark,and Kathryn,had a wonderful Daddy that loved them dearly.I will truly miss him.and long to see again someday in heaven!!
