Margaret Giragosian passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2016. Born on April 21, 1921, and raised in Fowler, CA, Margaret Paboojian Giragosian was the fifth daughter of six siblings to Nigoghos and Araxi Paboojian. She attended Fowler schools and graduated from Fowler High School. After marrying Peter Giragosian on April 17, 1943, they raised their family in Fresno, CA. Married for over 65 years, they worked together at their children's clothing shops, Little Miss & Mr. and Boy's Town, where they served the community for over 33 years. In retirement, they traveled extensively and always enjoyed each other's company. She loved to go to the Bridge Club in Fresno, and as a couple, they belonged to the same Bridge group for over 50 years. An independent mind who loved meeting new people, she embraced challenges and wasn't afraid of change, even learning to use a computer in her 80's to trade stocks online. Even until she passed, she had a sharp mind, strong opinions, and welcomed any opportunity to share a lively conversation with others. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, John, Kay, Joe, Esther Kerbajian, and Martha Parvanian. She is survived by her three children, Gary Giragosian and his wife Dorie, Robert Giragosian and his wife Jeanne, and Gail Vartanian and her husband Steve, as well as six grandchildren and their spouses, Katie Diesl and her husband Ben, Nicholas Giragosian and his wife Heather, Robert Giragosian, Michael Giragosian, Brian Vartanian, and Justin Vartanian and his wife Holly; and four great-grandchildren. She also loved and was loved by many nieces and nephews. Margaret's family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers at Cottonwood Court; and Nancy Hinds Hospice. She was blessed in life and will be fondly remembered by many for her enduring spirit and joie de vivre. A Viewing will be held at Yost and Webb Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Pilgrim Armenian Congregational Church on Friday, December 2, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Belmont Memorial Cemetery.
