Marie Torres

June 29, 1968 - August 8, 2024

Fresno, California - After a short battle with cancer, Marie Torres was called to heaven August 8th, 2024 at the age of 56.

Marie was born June 29th, 1968 to Pauline and Trinidad Torres. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and spent the next 38 years as a dedicated public servant working for the IRS. She enjoyed traveling wherever she could, being with her family, and a good margarita.

Marie is lovingly remembered by her mother Pauline and brother Joseph; husband Mark; her daughter Natalie and son-in-law Joshua; and son Christopher.

She was preceded in death by her brother Michael and father Trinidad.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 29th from 4 8 p.m. at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns, and Blair Funeral Home; 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720. A Mass will be held on Friday, August 30th at 9 a.m. at St. John's Cathedral; 2814 Mariposa St, Fresno, CA 93721.
