MASAKO MOCHIZUKI Obituary

Masako passed away peacefully on January 21, 2010 in Fresno. She would have been 88 years old on February 16. Born in Penryn, Ca., as Masako Nakadoi, she made her permanent home in Fresno with her husband of 64 years, Shigeki Robert Mochizuki. Together, they owned and operated the Mochizuki Fruit Stand in the Sunnyside area for over 50 years. She was known as the "Strawberry Lady" and cared deeply for her customers. Masako was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert Nakadoi and Kay Nakadoi of Omaha, Nebraska and her sister Miyako Kamikawa of Rockwood, Tennessee. She is survived by her husband and their four children, Robert Michele and his wife Susan, Larry Frank, Carol Ann and her husband Michael Chin and Chris Steve and his wife Cindy. She was very proud of her five grandchildren Lisa, Jason and Tenley Mochizuki, Spencer and Connor Chin. Private Memorial Service will be held.
