Michael Tatarian Obituary
November 10, 1967 - June 1, 2022
Fresno, California - Mike went to heaven on June 1, 2022 following a five year battle with cancer. He is most remembered for his bold laugh, love of family gatherings and passion for the Los Angeles Rams.
Mike is a graduate of Roosevelt High School and Fresno City College where he played football. In high school, he was nicknamed "Mountain Mike" due to the substantial effort required to move his imposing frame out of his defensive stance. An avid bird hunter, he planned annual hunts with his father, brothers, and friends. A cookout always followed, enjoying the bounty of the hunt. Sushi lunch with friends was another favorite (Yellowtail Nigiri of course!).
Upon retirement of his father, Milton Tatarian, Mike assumed operation of D&M Auto Den the family business for over 40 years. He was a member of the California Auto Body Association and the Knights of Columbus, serving as Grand Night for three parishes.
Mike is survived by his mother, Shirley Tatarian and five siblings, Lisa McQuone and Al Keppler, Chris Tatarian and Linda, Steve Tatarian and Kathy, Monica Hernandez and Martin, Nick Tatarian and Cheryl, six nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews.
A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Helen's Catholic Church on June 23, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow at the parish hall. Remembrances may be made to Poverello House and St. Helen's Church. Two trees have been planted by Tulip Cremation in Mike's honor.
