Paul Sahakian Obituary

Paul Sahakian
August 8, 1969 - July 31, 2023
Fresno, California - Paul Bryan Sahakian, born in 1969 in Fresno, CA, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023. Paul attended Clovis High School, graduating in the top 20 of his class. Thereafter, he attended UC Santa Cruz and UCLA, earning a degree in Psychology. His career dreams led him to Austin, Texas where he worked in computers and health care and where he developed many close friendships.
A musician and avid guitar collector, Paul loved making music with his friends and nieces. He was also an easy conversationalist interested in many subjects. He loved cats, trail running, movies, and hanging out with his buddies. He was a loving brother and brother-in-law, a good listener, a good friend, sincerely caring about the views of others.
He was dearly loved by his family for his big heart, his sense of humor, and his gentle soul. He impacted the lives of his lifelong friends by his sincerity and kindness. At age 53, he was taken from us way too soon.
Paul is survived by his parents, Pauline and Nazar Sahakian, his sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Jim Miller, and his loving nieces, Alexandra and Aubrey. Our family is devastated by the loss of our favorite son, brother, and uncle.

Paul we all remember well the back of the classroom chats at CHS before classes would begin. We remember Bushman, Eberly, and your moms class. May joy and peace and a "John Brown morning rap session" be with us all

Pauline (my first cousin), told my wife and I that Paul was ill and finally getting help at Kaiser Permanente. There was some hope of him getting better, but the very complicated situation became worst. It was "to little," and "to late." We were all shocked at his passing. No amount of words, or tears can express our deep feelings for Paul and his family. He had many friends who enjoyed his many interests. He was a talented musician who bought, repaired, played, and sold many guitars. Paul could talk your ears off on this subject. Not everyone knows about his very fast sports car he owned - a unique 2001 Honda S2000 with 240 horse power. I can just imagine Paul driving his car, with the top off, and cruising down the highway with music blaring out of the car radio. It doesn't get better than that. We all wish our comfort and much love to Pauline, Nazar, and the Miller Family. Paul will be missed by everyone. Thomas Hartunian

Paul you are jamming it up in Heaven my dear friend with your guitar!!! I think of you when I´m at the grocery store listening to 80s music they play on the PA system, when I am online shopping and see hot sauce or anything from Japan, when I see an old Toyota truck or hear anything about Armenia. I´m so happy we have been friends since 2008 - we met at the hospital. What a ride it has been! Working on the weekend was better when you were there along with Jeannie. I had you walk me out to my car not only for company, but you helped me laugh and relax after a long day. I´m sad you aren´t here, but happy you are in Heaven. Wish I could hug you - I´ll see you when my time comes. Until then keep on rocking. Our condolences from our family to your parents and your sister and her family. Paul always spoke so highly of all of you and shared with me the joy he had spending the holidays with all of you. I´m rambling but I miss you a lot. Paul save a dance for me.

Paul was one of a kind. Funny, caring, creative and someone who brought out the best in me and his friends. We lost track the last few years but the impact he made on me was magnificent. Hope he is cranking it up to 11 up above. Too young-prayers to his family. May his memory be eternal.
