March 21, 1960 - November 10, 2021
Fresno, California - Peter Kuest, well known and life -long resident of Fresno, CA, passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 61. He was a hard working, loving, caring and honest man, always giving of himself. His pride and joy were his two sons, Peter and Kyle.
Peter is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Cindy Kuest, their two sons, Peter Kuest, Jr., age 23, and Kyle Kuest, age 21. He also leaves behind his eldest brother Ludwig Kuest and wife Deborah, his younger brother Albert Kuest, his younger sister Heidi Kuest, his mother-in-law, Gail Petersen, his brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Lisa Woodward, and sister-in-law Dana Jennings, and ten nieces and nephews.
Peter touched so many lives throughout his years of coaching youth soccer, little league baseball and golf. It was all about supporting his two sons, their friends and families. Throughout his 36 years as a painting contractor Pete was loved and respected by all who did business with him. He will be remembered by everyone as "an all around good guy".
A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 18th at 1:30pm. at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N. Teilman Ave., Fresno, CA 93706. Following the service please join us to celebrate and honor Pete's life at Fort Washington Country Club, 10272 N. Millbrook Avenue, Fresno, CA 93720.

I met Pete through playing soccer for Fresno International. We spent some great times together and always had a lots of laughs. He was a wonderful gentleman. My condolences to the Kuest family.

Less than a month ago, I spent all day with Peter watching out Boys play college golf in Monterey. We both walked over 30 holes (almost 10 miles)) on the course at Bayonet. We had never met before, but we instantly formed a friendship because of similar backgrounds and similar paths raising our boys. Although we were on the golf course, we spent most of the day talking about our love of soccer. Peter told me stories all about his days playing at Fresno State and all his years he spent coaching youth soccer. He really loved his soccer and said he still watched soccer on a regular basis. Although his Boys have achieved so much with golf, he was so humble about their success. We had made plans to play a father and son golf over the holidays at the Fort. I will miss not having that opportunity to spend more time with him. Peter was a genuine, caring and humble man. He will be missed by all that knew him.

My sincere condolences to the Kuest family on Peter's passing. Peter was a friend from the soccer days of old even though we were on opposite sides. A person with passion in all he did and it is shocking he is gone so soon. May he rest in peace!
