Phyllis Mancebo Obituary
March 4, 1937 - May 24, 2022
Clovis, California - Phyllis Mancebo passed away in her hometown of Clovis, California on May 24th, 2022, with her devoted husband, Bill, and her caring daughter, Deanne by her side.
Born in Fresno on March 4, 1937, Phyllis attended Roosevelt High School. She worked for the State of CA for more than 30 years before retiring in 1995. After her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at the Malaga Elementary School library. A beloved grandmother, she always kept the cookie jar full and stocked up on her grandchildren's favorite cereal.
Phyllis was devoted to her faith, her family, and her husband, Bill, of 69 years. She loved dancing with Bill anytime the opportunity arose. Making friends all over the world, she was a committed traveler who appreciated new cultures and exploring Europe, Asia, and the Azores. Over 30 years, she and Bill navigated 49 state capitals in their 5th wheel.
Phyllis was preceded in death by daughter Danell Stepp, parents Willie and Calvin Morton, and son-in-law Dan Nikitin. She is survived by her husband, Bill, sister Janell Hurst, daughter Deanne Nikitin, son-in-law David Stepp, grandchildren Justin and Crystal Collins, Ryan and Jenna Stepp, Kristin and Jude Agostini, Mike and Erin Nikitin, and Josh Nikitin, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Phyllis will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Those wishing to join in a celebration of her life are invited to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Clovis on June 15th, at 11 am. Reception to follow.
