Ralph Jurgens Obituary

Ralph Wayne Jurgens was born on March 25, 1946, to Robert and Maxine Jurgens in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He passed away on Monday, August 6, 2007, after a long, valiant battle with lung cancer.

Ralph graduated from Texas A & M University with a B. S. Degree in Soil Science, Agronomy. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy from which he was honorably discharged. He became co-owner of New Era Farm Service and spent his life working with the agricultural community, which was his passion second only to his family and friends.

Ralph is preceded in death by his mother, Maxine.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Jurgens; his son, Ryan Jurgens; his stepchildren, Eric Tavonatti and wife Shauna, Adam Tavonatti, Alyssa Childers; and his grandchildren, Cade and Cole Tavonatti, all of Tulare; his father ,Robert Jurgens of Colorado; his sister, Sylvia Bartlett of Colorado; and many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel in Tulare on Sunday, August 12, 2007, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at the First Church of God, 833 N. Blackstone in Tulare, Ca. on Monday, August 13, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the North Tulare Cemetery, Tulare, Ca.
