Fresno, California - Richard Heimforth Age 83, passed away on Dec. 24, 2023. A memorial will be held at a later date.

Richard was born in Bakersfield, CA to Philip and Rose Heimforth. He grew up in the Rosedale area attending the local K-8 school. He was an active 4-Her and scout. He graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1958. During his high school years, Richard played the clarinet in the award winning school marching band and was active in DeMolay. He graduated from Fresno State College in Agricultural Science. He was a loyal Bulldog fan holding season tickets to both football and basketball games for many years. He was also a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After college he worked in the agricultural industry for Roberts Farms and then for Spreckels Sugar as a Field Representative, retiring in June of 2004.

Richard enjoyed national and international travel, cultivating his roses and home garden, collecting treasurers and his second home in Pismo Beach.

He is survived by his wife Marianna of Fresno, her daughters, sister Jayne and her husband Paul Mickles of Oregon and many cousins and friends.

In his memory: celebrate holidays, enjoy nature, indulge pets, relish a great bargain and cherish each other.

Richard was my cousin. I always thought of him as a "pretty cool guy". We had lots of fun playing together with my sister too.
