Robert Passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at the age of 91. He was born to George and Mabel Alandt on November 20, 1917, in River Rouge, Michigan. He was the fourth of their ten children. He was the founder of Central Cal Metals and a World War II Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marie Bauer; and their son Thomas.
He is survived by his son, Joseph G. and his wife Sheryl and their children, Ferol, Blake Casares and Paul. He is also survived by his daughter, Johanna Marie and her children Robert and Patrick; and by his son, Franklin Leroy and his wife, Elizabeth and their children, Yvonne Heitz and Tom. He leaves behind five greatgrandchildren. Surviving Robert in Michigan is his youngest brother, Frank Alandt and his sister Julie Brett.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated in honor of Bob at Our Lady of Victory Church, on Friday, November 6, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. Reception to be held immediately following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Victory in Bob's memory.
