ROBERT L. STARR

Bob Starr was born and raised in Hanford, CA. He was called home, at the age of 79, with family by his side. Bob attended Hanford High School, College of the Sequoias, and California State University, Fresno. He was co-owner of San Joaquin Glass Company until his retirement in 2005. He made many lifelong friends during his career. Bob and Dorothy were married 57 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and "Papa." His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved spending time in Cayucos, entertaining friends, fishing, and building happy family memories. His was a life of compassion, generosity, and presence. Three qualities guaranteed to impact the world around him. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly. Bob was insistent that we not be sad for him, but celebrate his life with happy memories. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Eunice Starr. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; son, Robert Jr. and wife Jonica; daughter, Susan and husband Todd; three grandchildren, Kayla and husband Ben, and their child Madison, due February of 2017, Nicholas and wife Merica, and their daughter Riley, and Michael. A Celebration of his Life wil be held at New Covenant Community Church, 1744 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held at the Cayucos-Morro Bay Cemetery, 2451 Ocean Blvd., Cayucos, CA, on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. Donations may be made to Parkinson's Support Fund; or Valley Teen Ranch, checks payable to Central Valley Community Foundation, 5260 N.
