RUBY PRICE

Ruby was born in Hamlet, NC on March 9, 1933. She was a graduate of the school of nursing at High Point University and she attended postgraduate school at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey. She joined the United States Air Force Nursing Corps in New York City, and was working at Parks Air Force Base in Alameda, Ca. where she met David Price. Dave and Ruby were married on October 6, 1956, and after living in the San Francisco area for a few years, they both retired from the Air Force and made their home in Fresno. Ruby was the OB Supervisor at Fresno Community Hospital for several years. However, her career was cut short by an auto accident in 1971. Dave and Ruby had 56 wonderful years together. Ruby is survived by Dave, her devoted husband; her son, Philip and his wife JoNell, of Fresno; her daughter, Suzanne, of Boise, Id.; and her grandchildren, Jana Price, Ryan and Daniel Cronin. Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Ruby's Life will be held at Saint Columba Church, on Palm, just north of Shaw, on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Remembrances may be made to Tehran Shrine Transportation Fund, 5407 E.
