SHAWN MCCARTHY

Loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Shawn McCarthy was surrounded by loved ones when he left this earth to be with God on Sunday June 30, 2013. Shawn was born on December 10, 1962 in Albany, New York. He graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School in 1981. After three years in the Army, he found his dream job at Hedrick's-Hallowell Chevrolet where he worked for over 25 years. Shawn will be remembered by all who knew him for his wit, humor, kindness and his passion for playing drums. He will be missed by anyone who had the opportunity to know and love him. He was preceded in death by his father, John McCarthy. He leaves behind his loving and devoted mother, Marge McCarthy Bilsten; brother, Steve and his wife Janette; sister, Sharon Fisher and her husband Jim; brother David, and his wife Suzanne; sister, Kathleen Scrivner and her husband Doug; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at Sterling & Smith Funeral Home, on Sunday July 7, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Northwest Church, on Monday, July 8, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Veterans Hospital, 2615 E.
