SIMONE SAM SIMONIAN

Sam, age 88, was born on July 30, 1921, in Detroit, Michigan to Mardiros and Virgin Simonian. He passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010. He was recognized in the community through his activities including Fresno Association of Realtors as Past President in 1972, Master of Triple X Fraternity. Toastmasters, Fresno Trades Club, Fresno City and County Housing Authority, SIRS, BIA, Little Hoover Commission, Elks Lodge, and Saint Paul Armenian Church. This last year he was kindly treated by many health professionals with special thanks to home health care and St. Agnes Medical Center. His sister Virginia preceded him in death. He is survived by Virginia his wife of 62 years; his two sons, Stanley and Mark Simonian, five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his surviving brother Charles Simonian. Visitation will be held at Yost & Webb Funeral Home on Sunday, July 18, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul Armenian Church on Monday, July 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fowler Cemetery.
