Sylvia Gilio

Sylvia Gilio was born on June 17, 1918, to William and Thursday Plumb in Missouri. She passed away on March 10, 2008, in Fresno, with her family by her side. Our mother was a great mom, always putting her family first. She was always ready to help her friends if they needed help. She was a great cook. We will miss all the family dinners she cooked well into her 80's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Gilio, Sr.; and her brother ,Murnice Plumb. She is survived by her daughter, Della Wright; sons, Dan Gilio, Jr., and William Gilio and his wife Lanzetta; five grandsons, David, Doug and his wife Jenny, Dan Wright and his wife Susan, Daryl Gilio and his wife Mendi, and Joseph; two great-grand-children, Alyssa Gilio and Corbin Wright; two step great-grandchildren, Chris-topher Chownyk and Brennan Milne; her sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Renna, Emma Gilio, and Doris Plumb and her nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2008, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home on Satur-day, March 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
