Tim grew up in Tulare and after graduating from Tulare Union High School in 1977, he attended Cal Poly Pomona and Fresno State University, majoring in Agricultural Business. After college, he followed in the family's farming business, farming grapes and walnuts his entire adult life. He loved farming, as did his grandfather and father before him.

He enjoyed scenic motorcycle rides around California and many other states. He was an avid golfer and loved his 'golf-cations' with friends at the Central Coast. He had recently played his dream courses of St. Andrews and Carnoustie in Scotland. He often traveled to home games to watch his favorite teams, the 49ers and the Giants. Tim loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved his family, friends, and his community. Friends nicknamed him "The Best Man" as he was the Best Man at so many of their weddings. They said it spoke to the person that he was: kind, generous, a great guy and a great friend.
