VIVIAN BEST

Vivian Lucille "Lucy" Erickson was born on June 9, 1935 and passed away peacefully on December 1, 2016 after a short illness. Lucy was born in Fresno California, raised in Kerman and attended Kerman area schools. She met and married the love of her life Richard "Dick" Best in 1952 and they had two sons, Richard and Steve. Lucy & Dick spent most of their lives working in the Farming industry and Lucy was Controller/Partner at RBT, Inc. up until her death. She loved her time at RBT and had a special relationship with all of her co-workers. She also enjoyed reading, traveling, her Senior luncheons with her Church Family at New Hope Community and especially spending time with her beloved dog, Mitzi. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel Erickson; Husband of 56 years, Richard (Dick) Best and Brothers-in-law, Dean Best, Mel Seals, Don Doeckel and great granddaughter Olivia Grace Hart. Lucy is survived by her sons Richard Best & Wife Colleen, Steve Best & Wife Jill, Granddaughters Brandi Garcia (James), Autumn Best (Scotty), Chelsea Hart (Aaron) and Grandson Wyatt Best (Bonnie), Great Grandchildren Giavanna Garcia, Cyrus Garcia and Sutter Hart, Brother Charles Erickson & Wife TannaLee, Sister-in-laws Wanda Seals, Shirley Doeckel and Judy Best as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and very special friends, Billie Avery & Jeri McComb. The family would like to thank Hinds Hospice for their compassionate care during Moms final days. To Brandi Garcia, what can we say that could do justice for the way you took care of Nani during the last month of her life. Thank you is not enough. We love you and are so grateful for you. Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Ave in Clovis on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery 305 N. Villa Avenue on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 1:30 p.m with a Memorial Service immediately following at New Hope Community Church, 4620 E Nees Ave, Clovis CA.
