Dear Mrs. Lipton and family,
I met Dr. Lipton in 1970, when I began my career at Fresno State.
I frequently took my "Postharvest Technology" class to Dr. Lipton's Lab. at Peach Ave. He was always willing to share his knowledge and experience with my students and other guests. He was a colleague and a friend, who will be missed and always remebered for his kindness and contributions to our knowledge in horticulture.
My deepest sympathy and condolences.

Dear Joan,
I have only fond memories of Werner at the USDA on Peach Ave. He was always cheerful and eager to help a fledgling employee such as myself back in 1985. I will remember him with awe as the genuine man he was.

Dear Mrs. Lipton,
I don't know if you remember the Johnstons from Redlands Ave. in Fresno, but I am Betsy Johnston - we lived a few houses down from you and I used to play with Carol, Ronald, Marian and Alan. I read in the Bee last night with sorrow that Mr. Lipton passed away. He was my father's age. I was also sorry to read that Ronald had also passed away. I have a picture of Ronald and me on our first day of Kindergarten that my mom took.
I am now 49 years old and live in Parlier with my partner, Linda.
I would like to send to your whole family my deepest sympathies and prayers. I am thinking of you and hoping you find strength in each other.
Email me anytime - I would enjoy hearing from you.
Again, my deepest sympathies,
Betsy Johnston
