Yutaka Yamamoto Obituary

YUTAKA YAMAMOTO

Yutaka Yamamoto was born on September 17, 1920, in Reedley, CA. He passed away on Monday, January 23, 2006. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Yamamoto. Yutaka graduated from Dinuba High School and was a lifelong farmer in Dinuba. He was probably best known for his EASLAC Melon Stand, a roadside stand dedicated to his six granddaughters. He is survived by Fumiko, his wife of 62 years, of Dinuba; son Dennis of Hawaii; daughter, Joyce Sasai and her husband Steven of Kingsburg; and daughter-in-law, June Yamamoto of San Diego. He is also survived by brother Yukio of Menlo Park; sister, Mitzi Yamada of Anaheim; and his granddaughters, Erin Kennison, Audra Yamamoto, Stefanie Yamamoto, Laura Yamamoto, Ashley Sasai, and Courtney Sasai. The family wishes to thank Drs. Sarvamitra Awasthi of Dinuba and John G. Telles of Fresno for their care of Yutaka the past 26 years. They also extend their gratitude to Dr. Dale Merrill of Fresno, and to the C.I.C.U. doctors and staff at the St. Agnes Medical Center.
