Carla Gabriela Ayes Fonfrias, 33, of Frankfort, Ind., died unexpectedly, July 31, 2022. She was born May 15, 1989 in Puerto Rico to Wilfredo Ayes & Maricelis Fonfrias.
Carla was a lifelong Clinton County resident since she moved from Puerto Rico when she was 8 years old. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School in 2007, and was a cheerleader. She then went on to receive an associate degree from Brown Mackie College in Indianapolis. She had worked at Wesley Manor as an LPN for the last six years, prior to there she worked at Clinton House. Carla loved spending time with her children and riding bikes with them. She had a sweet soul, bubbly personality, was full of life, and never knew a stranger. She loved to ride motorcycles, was artistic and liked collecting gnomes. Carla will be remembered for her contagious smile, being a great friend and was always there when they needed her.
She is survived by her parents: Fred & Marci Ayes of Kokomo, daughter: Bella Kay Dugger of Frankfort, son: Eben C. Johnson of Frankfort, sister: Camille M. Ayes of Kokomo, boyfriend: Jerry Palmer, aunts: Linda Fonfrias of Florida, Evelyn Ayes of Frankfort and Lizzy Fonfrias of Puerto Rico, uncle: Dr. Carlos Ayes of Puerto Rico, cousins: Valeria Mendoza, Adriana Mendoza, Kalyanis Mendoza, Amaury Santiago, Annette M. Santiago, Isabel Menendez, Sonny Fonfrias, Jumbee Fonfrias and Roselis Fonfrias. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Carmen Fonfrias and Angel Fonfrais and an aunt: Angie Fonfrias.
Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022 with a rosary beginning at 4 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Additional visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until time of service on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022. Funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Encompass Credit Union, Re: Carla Ayes Fund, 1035 N.
