Grace "Jeanette" Conklin, 97, of Frankfort, passed away Nov. 22, 2024, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community. She was born on Sept. 16, 1927, in Frankfort, to Melvel and Ethel (Walter) Catron. She married Charles B. Conklin, Jr. on Jan. 4, 1943, and he preceded her in death on April 21. 2011.
Jeanette attended Frankfort High School and worked for Mallory Controls in Frankfort for 34 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God and the Eagles Lodge in Frankfort, where she was a charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and taking walks.
Surviving are her daughter, Patty (Bill) Joiner of Lebanon; son, Kenneth P. Conklin of Monticello; seven grandchildren, along with several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Nancy C. Conklin; son, Gary (Gloria) Conklin; sisters, Louise Curnutt and Betty Hollis; and her brothers, James and Robert Catron.
A Funeral Service will be held at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main Street, Frankfort. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Pastor Ken Rushing will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park Frankfort. Please visit goodwinfuneralhome.com, where you may leave a condolence.
