Joe was preceded in death by his two brothers, John Clossin (wife Mary) and Jim Clossin (surviving wife Nancy J. Clossin). He married Nancy Staugaard on Nov. 26, 1952, and she survives.

Joe was a Frankfort Senior High School graduate and attended Indiana University Bloomington. He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Joe was a member of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Frankfort.

Joe loved IU basketball and the Indianapolis Colts and staying up to date on all current events. He was an avid reader and an expert in Civil War history. He enjoyed doing crosswords, playing euchre, and spending time with his family. Joe and Nancy loved going on trips, and especially loved their cruise to Alaska. Joe was a kind and humble man with a great sense of humor and dedication to his family. He loved big-band music, dancing and telling stories. His kind and loving spirit will be missed.

Joe is survived by his wife, Nancy Clossin of Frankfort, and three daughters, Constance McKenney (husband Mike), of Concord Township, Ohio, Janna Cripe and Karen Cunningham (husband Brad), both of Frankfort.
