Shirley Schooley, 79, of Frankfort, died Nov. 11, 2021 at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born April 24, 1942 in Holly Hill, Kentucky to the late Orville and Helen (Lay) Lovett. She was previously married to Richard W. Schooley for 24 years.

Shirley attended schools in Kentucky. She was a homemaker, a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church and a previous member of the Bethel Bible Holiness Church. She spent her time managing and caring for the residents at the Main Street Hotel for over 40 years until it closed. Family was very important to Shirley; she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by three daughters, Helen "Fran" Bray of Frankfort, Wanda Melton of Frankfort and Tina Bottoms of Frankfort; brother, Glenis Lovett of Camden; sister, Christine Brown of Frankfort; 12 grandchildren, Ricky, Casey, Jeramy, Justin, Chad, April, Kristina, Mandy, Shauna, Brandon, Charissa and Chance; several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Brenda Lovett.

Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort, IN. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Shirley's name to the Pilgrim Holiness Church, 1104 Rowe St, Frankfort, IN 46041.
