Jean Corbett Obituary

Jean L. Corbett, 85, of Brighton, passed away July 25. She was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Pueblo, to Lloyd and Frances (Buchanan) Hogsett and graduated from Evergreen High School in 1948. She married Hugh Corbett Jan. 20, 1951, in Lakewood.
Jean worked for several retail stores, including Joslin's in Westminster and JC Penney in downtown Denver and Northglenn. She loved to cook, especially baking deserts. She loved to make cakes, cream puffs and apple pie and would frequently use these to celebrate special events for others.
Her husband of 65 years survives her, as do her three sons, Michael (Lisa) Corbett, of Atlanta, Mark (Patti) Corbett, of South Lake, Texas, and Kelly (Sue) Corbett, of Brighton; and two grandchildren, Dylan and Greer.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, at Eagle View Adult Center, 1150 Prairie Center Parkway, Brighton. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels of Brighton, 11680 River Run Parkway, Henderson 80640. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
