Adrian Fletcher Obituary
Adrian Clark Fletcher, Jr. ("Clark"), 73, of Lake Talquin, FL, passed away on January 20, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Gadsden County, Clark was born in Quincy, FL, on January 6, 1952, to Adrian Clark Fletcher and Annie Muriel Smith Fletcher. He was raised in Greensboro, FL, on A.C. Fletcher Farms and graduated from Greensboro High School in 1970. After graduation, he joined the National Guard, serving actively for six years.
Clark attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and later graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Business Administration. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
For many years, Clark practiced law in Quincy and Panama City before pursuing his passion for entrepreneurship. His ventures ranged from real estate to owning Dippin' Dots franchises, reflecting his drive and creativity.
In 1980, Clark married the love of his life, Densyl Whitehead, and together they shared 44 years. He loved his family and friends deeply, never missing an opportunity to gather and share his quick wit that brought laughter to those around him. A devoted animal lover, Clark had a heart for all creatures and would have helped them all if he could.
Clark was a lifelong member of Flat Creek Baptist Church, an active member of Soapstone Hunting Club, and an avid Florida State football fan and booster, going many years without missing a game.
He is survived by his wife, Densyl Whitehead Fletcher; his son, Adrian Clark Fletcher III (Jennifer) of Juniper, and their children, Hayes and Graham; his daughter, Ammie Fletcher Dees (William) of Fernandina Beach, and their children, Beau and Selah; his sisters, Rosalyn Fletcher Fenn and Janet Fletcher Bridges, both of Juniper; his brother-in-law, William Eugene Vice of Navarre; and his sister-in-law, Suzanne Whitehead Holley of Jacksonville.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Walker Bridges (Kristen), Rebecca Fenn Huddleston (Stephen), Donald Hall, Matthew Bridges (Meagan), Jordan Holley (Katie), and Elizabeth Bridges Russell (Jonny). He was blessed with four great-nephews-Blair Bridges, Fletcher Huddleston, Collin Bridges, and George Russell-and four great-nieces-Tallulah Huddleston, Emma Bridges, Margot Russell, and Charlotte Bridges.
A funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday, January 29th at Flat Creek Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Lifesong is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian Clark Fletcher and Annie Muriel Fletcher; his sisters, Patricia Fletcher Vice and Glenda Fletcher Hall; and a nephew, Hamilton Fletcher Fenn.
The family would like to thank special caregivers Marvin Farmer, Dennis Dubois, Shanda Moore, and Flossie Jackson.
