Bonnie Porter Obituary

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Bonnie Emogene Hailes Porter, 58, Glencoe, who passed away November 1, 2014. Rev. Randall Crotts will officiate. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel & Cremation Service is in charge.
Bonnie enjoyed going to yard sales, thrift shopping and loved cookbooks. She loved Auburn football, Glencoe High School football and the New Orleans Saints. She devoted all of her being to her family and friends and was a mother to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Scotty Widner; parents, James and Katie Widner.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Porter; sons, Logan T. Hailes and Jordan L. Hailes; sister, Shirley Adams; and nephew, CJ Adams.
Special thanks to the City of Glencoe, Michael and Angela Head, Rev. Randall Crotts, Rob Grey, Susie Weems, Jesse Houston, Bertha Ann Houston and to everyone who called with kind words.
The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Etowah County Animal Shelter.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
