Brenda Woods Obituary
After leaving her childhood home in Altoona, Brenda was a longtime resident of Birmingham. She graduated from UAB and was employed many years with Social Security and the Defense Department. Brenda gave her heart to the Lord at a young age and loved her Savior. She loved to end her conversations with family members with prayer.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Woods; grandparents, Jim and Sally Puckett; mother, Lavonia "Connie" Colvin; sister, Connie Lynn Colvin; and brother-in-law, Steve Self.
Survivors include sister, Debbie Self; nephews, Chad and Jared Self; beloved great-nieces, Elissa and Brittany Self; great-nephew, Ashton Self; lifelong friend, Shelia Ricks; and aunt, Cynthia Wendorf.
Special thanks to the class of 1971 of West End High School, Second Baptist Church of Altoona and all friends for their love and support.
