Dave Calloway Obituary
Mr. Dave Calloway was born November 22, 1922, to Mr. Willie Lewis Calloway and Mrs. Dora Ross Hughley. He departed his life on Aug. 4, 2014, at UAB Hospital, Birmingham.
He leaves to cherish, his wife, Miltie Calloway Finley of Gadsden; 11 children, May Lee Busby, Barbara Williams, Janice Ophelia Burton, Joe Frank Ballard, all of Lafayette, Ala., William Calloway, Five Points, Ala., Elizabeth Byers, Rebecca (Randy) Williams, Priscila (Ollie) Timmons, Stephanie Byers, Gadsden, Roger Calloway, Childersburg, Ala.; aunt, Mrs. Thelma, Atlanta, Ga.; uncle, Mr. John Tom (Earnestine) Ross, Valley, Ala.; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren; very dear friends, Odell Ayers, Bobby Lindsey, Vonzie Gray and Jimmy Thomas.

Be patient, my beloved, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
Establish your hearts in Him, and be ye faithful.
The Kingdom is at hand, And shall I not make preparation?
Yea, I do not have my Prophets simply as demonstrations of the Miraculous.
I have them for the purpose of communicating my message to my people.

I am heart broken with this loss. Dave was a great friend of mine. He would come into our office and sit for hours just talking and fellowshipping with us. I rest calmly knowing that by our conversations Dave had his eternal resting place secured with out Lord Jesus Christ. I think of Dave daily and will miss him with fondness and love. He truly was a great friend and confidant. I love you Dave!

The Mr. Dave Calloway Family, I had no idea that Mr. Calloway had reached such golden years in his life. He and my dad were "buddies" for some time. My dad's been gone over 22 years now; so you all were blessed to enjoy him close to 100 years. May your fond memories linger forever and give you joy and peace.
