Emory Mullinax Obituary
Emory retired from Republic Steel after 35 years of dedicated service. He then spent several years with his wife, traveling and planting his gardens. He very much enjoyed early mornings with freshly turned soil and seed for planting. Emory enjoyed reaping the benefits of his garden and providing, not only for his family, but sharing with his friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Mullinax was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Adele Mullinax; his parents, Dillard and Beulah Mullinax; his siblings; and a son-in-law, Steve Pylant.
He is survived by his children, Michael D. Mullinax, Melanie Mullinax Pylant, Alan L. Mullinax (Lisa) and Mark A. Mullinax (Teresa); grandchildren, Brandi, David (Lisa), Mandy, Matthew, Brittany (Josh) and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jalyn, Grayson and Jax.
Pallbearers will be Emory's sons, grandsons and nephew, Danny Whited.
The boys give a heartfelt thank you to their sister, Melanie, and caregiver, Vicky Waller. The family would like to also thank all the wonderful nurses and caregivers at Gentiva, with a special thank you to Shawn.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 p.m. at Williams-Southside Funeral Home.
