Joyce Beck

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Village Chapel for Joyce Marks Beck, 78, of Gadsden, who passed away on June 25, 2015. Bob Hundley will officiate. Burial will take place at Noble Hill Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Beck was the second oldest child of Herman and Almester Marks. She married Robert Beck on April 14, 1956, and they had three sons. Joyce would light up the room when she walked in and never met a stranger. She loved to entertain, hosting Home Interior, Tupperware and Princess House parties and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Almester Marks; sisters, Elizabeth, Mary and Brenda; brother, Charles; son, Robert Beck Jr.; and granddaughter, Holland Beck.
Mrs. Beck is survived by her husband, Robert Beck Sr.; sons, Randy and Ann Beck of Mobile, Scott and Sharon Beck of Gadsden; daughter-in-law, Sharon Freeman Beck; grandchildren, Alan Beck, Megan (Steve) Mason, Drew Beck, Tori Beck, Kristi (Jason) Mikle and Ashlyn Beck; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Donavon Mason and Brooklyn, Adalyn, Ezra and Sam Mikle; sisters, Martha and Edna; brother, Joe Marks; and special sister-in-law, Beanie Gamble.
Pallbearers will be Drew and Alan Beck, David, Mike and Jon Lankford, Jason Mikle and Matt Humphrey.
Special thanks to the staff of CCU and fifth floor at Riverview Regional Medical Center, and Amedisys Hospice of Rainbow City, especially Kerri and Bob.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home today one hour prior to the service.
