Joyce Bobbitt Obituary

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery for Joyce A. Bobbitt, 74, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018. Rev. Matt Griffith will officiate. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of services.
Mrs. Bobbitt was a 1961 graduate of Hokes Bluff High School. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. She was retired from being a seamstress from her last place of employment, which was Thornton Lake Cloth Barn. She liked gardening, flowers and pets.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bobbitt; parents, Paul and Lillian Gilbert McGinnis; brothers, Rex McGinnis and Ray McGinnis; sisters, Judy Langley and Faye Langley.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Karen) Bobbitt and Cale Bobbitt; grandchildren, Luke (Meghan) Bobbitt, Kennington Nolan (Jacob Smith), Chase Bobbitt and Avery Bobbitt; special niece, Cheri Smith; sister-in-law, Wylene McGinnis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Special thanks to Amedysis Hospice, UAB Hospital CICU, Gadsden Regional Medical Center MICU and 9th floor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
There will be no visitation.
