Ossie Satterfield Obituary
Mrs. Satterfield had retired form Goodyear after 32 years of service. She attended Rainbow City Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benny R. Satterfield.
She is survived by her son, Phillip R. Satterfield, Rainbow City; grandchildren, Hannah R. Satterfield and Benjamin Phillip Satterfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Eloise Frost, Mobile.
Pallbearers will be Phillip R. Satterfield, Kenneth Lambert, Jason Bailey and Robert Bearden.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Ossie was a great woman, mother, and grandmother. Though she made her share of mistakes, she was always there for me and my brother when we needed her. We were very close when I was little. I came up with the name Jabo and I called her that ever since. I was very upset when she died. I cried through the whole funeral. But, I know that, even though we'll be apart for a short time, when it's my time to go home to God, I'll see her again. I love ya, Jabo! I'll never forget you as long as I live!

I was very blessed to have such a strong mother in law. I have so many memories that I will hold very close to my heart. She loved my children and for that I will always love her. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren...Thanks to everyone who came and helped with her. She was a very special lady and I know that she is at peace now.

Ossie was a great lady who I have loved since I met her in 1987 and who loved me since, as well and I am blessed for that! Anyone who ever knew her would certainly say she was tough, but I prefer to say amazingly strong! She worked so hard at her home and especially in her yard that she loved dearly and was so very proud of her grand children! I feel grateful to have know such a spririted person and am thankful knowing there's no pain, no suffering and no worrying where she is now. Rest in Peace, Ossie.
